ひょうろう【兵糧】

1 〔軍の〕 provisions.

●兵糧が尽きる provisions run out; 〈軍などが主語〉 run out of provisions; 〔金が尽きる〕 one's money runs out; run [be] out of money [funds]

・彼らの兵糧が尽きた. Their provisions have run out [are exhausted]. | They are out of [have no more] food (and drink).

●兵糧の道を絶つ cut off the supply of provisions; cut the lines of provision.

2 〔食糧〕 food.

兵糧係 a commissary 《of an army》.

兵糧米 provisions [stocks] of rice 《for the army》.
